Junior Accountant (Australian Tax Law) - Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with a strong understanding of Australian Tax Law to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks and preparing financial statements for our property development and finance clients. The Junior Accountant will work remotely and report to the Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for our property development and finance clients
- Conduct bank reconciliations, including recording and reconciling transactions related to property development and finance activities
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax-related documents in compliance with Australian tax laws for property development and finance clients
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including invoicing and payment processing for property development and finance clients
- Maintain accurate financial records using Google Sheets
- Liaise with property development and finance clients to obtain necessary information and ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Support the Senior Accountant with ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Australian Tax Law and regulations
- Proficient in using Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Prior experience in a similar role within the property development and finance industry would be an advantage
