We are currently seeking a Government Contracting Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the effective delivery of services to our government clients.

Position Overview:

The Government Contracting Specialist will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of government contracts, including preparation, negotiation, compliance, and performance monitoring. This role requires a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), state and local procurement processes, and the nuances of contracting within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate government contracts, including solicitations, task orders, and modifications.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing government contracting.
Maintain strong relationships with contracting officers, government agency representatives, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor contract performance, ensuring deliverables meet contract terms and are delivered on time and within budget.
Assist with the preparation of proposals and pricing strategies for government solicitations.
Conduct contract risk assessments and advise management on potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Stay current on government contracting policies, procedures, and trends.
Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence related to government contracts.
Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of federal and state procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS, state/local regulations).
Experience with proposal preparation, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and contract management software (e.g., Deltek, Costpoint).
Familiarity with project management tools and principles is a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances, if applicable.
