Forensic Accounting Audit of Business
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Seeking to determine if gross income and net income of closely-held LLC performing about $2 million per year of business have been accurately reported and if income taken out of business by sole owner has been accurately reported.
Most of work performed by the business, a concrete foundation structural builder, are commercial projects with contractor, multiple subcontractors and payments made to business are delivered at intervals and all income to business is 1099 reported.
Strongly suspect that owner is falsely inflating operating expenses in his accounting software, Quik-Books, so as to make the net income of the business and his net income as owner appear about $200,000 lower each year than it actually is. His motive for doing this is to continue to avoid paying court-ordered divorce judgment of $400,000.
