I'm looking for a financial analyst to compare the balance sheets of Ford and Tesla over the last 3 years.
Complete the profitability and valuation analyses. In addition, analyze the Ford's performance over its
recent history and compare it to that of its main competitor with Tesla. Is Ford's performance improving/declining over time/relative to Tesla? To what would you attribute the changes?
Key tasks include:
- A ratio analysis of historical (3-year) financial results using the ROE disaggregation
- Detailed analysis of the balance sheets of both companies.
- Evaluation of the cash flow statements over the same period.
- A parsimonious forecast for the next 3 years
- An analysis of intrinsic value relative to the market, and conclusions regarding company
valuation using the ROPI valuation model
- All relevant operating expense margin ratios, operating asset turnover ratios, and operating liability turnover ratios (Highlighting key liquidity ratios, profitability ratios, and leverage ratios)
For the detailed report component must be at least 15 pages of written content, including
supporting materials such as calculations, tables, appendices, and references. The written report
should focus on telling a story on the analysis.
Ideal candidates should have:
- Strong background in finance and financial statement analysis.
- Experience in analyzing automotive industry companies.
- Proficient understanding of liquidity ratios, profitability ratios, and leverage ratios.
- Ability to present complex financial data in an understandable way.
