The role of a Financial Controller for our Group of Companies will involve a broad range of responsibilities that are crucial for the financial health and compliance of our organisations. Here's a list of the roles and responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

1. **Financial Reporting**: Preparing and presenting accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. This includes balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

2. **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Developing financial forecasts and budgets, and working with various departments to ensure they align with the company's goals and objectives.

3. **Cash Flow Management**: Monitoring and managing the company's cash flow to ensure there are sufficient funds available to meet its obligations.

4. **Internal Controls and Compliance**: Establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the company's assets. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, including Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) requirements.

5. **Tax Planning and Compliance**: Overseeing tax planning to ensure the company meets its fiscal obligations legally and efficiently. This includes the preparation and submission of tax returns and liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as necessary.

6. **Financial Analysis and Advice**: Analysing financial data to identify trends, perform cost-benefit analysis, and provide strategic financial advice to senior management.

7. **Audit Coordination**: Coordinating with external auditors during audits, ensuring that all necessary information is available and any recommendations are implemented.

8. **Risk Management**: Identifying financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
