Financial Audit of Project Spend
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I'm seeking a simple financial audit. We are a small family business and received a small amount of funding from a government department, and we are now at the end of the project. A requirement for the funding is that we provide an independent "Audit Opinion" confirming we have spent the required amount of funds.
Requirements of the Audit:
- independent
- done in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards
- done on a test basis
- includes examination of financial records/receipts (for the selected samples)
We have 2 registered accountants in the business (although not independent), so our records are extremely clean and transparent. To understand the size of the engagement - about 20 invoices cover approx 65% of the spend.
The deliverable from the audit is a one-page audit opinion on the auditor's letterhead and signed by the auditor, for which we already have a prefilled template that has been supplied to us Word format.
It's a very simple engagement.
