Financial Accountant for Portugal Agency

I run a staffing and recruitment agency headquartered in Portugal and need an experienced freelance accountant to keep our numbers crystal-clear and decision-ready.
What I need you to handle
• Day-to-day bookkeeping: post and reconcile all transactions, match bank feeds, and keep every ledger tidy.
• Quarterly management reporting: deliver a P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow statement, and a brief commentary that highlights trends and red flags.
• Forward-looking insight: build a simple rolling forecast and share practical recommendations that help me plan hiring drives and expansion initiatives.
Tools & workflow
Our current books sit in TOConline and Sage, so solid proficiency with either platform is essential. If you can suggest small process improvements—whether in Sage add-ons, Excel automations, or integrations with recruitment CRMs—I’m all ears.
Cadence & collaboration
Updates can be asynchronous, but I expect reconciled books each month and the full analytical report every quarter. We collaborate in English, yet knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards and terminology will make life easier for both of us.
Deliverables for each quarter
1. Reconciled general ledger in TOConline/Sage
2. PDF and Excel versions of the three core financial statements
3. A succinct two-page commentary plus a 12-month cash-flow forecast model
