We are a rapidly growing Public Relations agency, specializing in media relations, corporate communications, and brand strategy. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage various financial operations, including AR/AP, bookkeeping, and controller responsibilities, and play a key role in optimizing our financial health, eliminating unnecessary spending, and helping the company build a larger cash runway.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will manage invoicing to clients, ensuring accurate and timely billing, while setting up and maintaining recurring invoices for long-term clients and retainer agreements. You will follow up on overdue accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely collections. Ensure tax payments an dtax notices are properly addressed ongoing. You will also reconcile client payments and apply them to the proper accounts, preparing AR aging reports and maintaining detailed client records.

You will process vendor invoices via Bill.com, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget and policies, while managing the payment cycle to ensure timely disbursements to vendors and suppliers. In addition, you will maintain accurate records of all transactions and resolve any billing issues with vendors. Reviewing and reconciling credit card statements, expense reports, and petty cash will also be key components of the role, as well as assisting in identifying unnecessary spending and recommending cost-saving strategies.

You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards monthly. This role includes assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, generating monthly financial reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports. You will maintain and update sales commission reports for the sales team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will oversee financial planning and budgeting, prepare financial forecasts, assist in building a larger cash runway by optimizing spending and analyzing cash flow, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate with external accountants for audits and tax filings, and provide strategic financial advice to support key business decisions.
