Experienced Bookkeeper Needed for Trucking Business
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I am a truck driver running my own business and I’m looking for an experienced bookkeeper to help organize my finances and keep my records in order. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Waves app and can assist with bookkeeping tasks, including tracking income and expenses, managing invoices, and reconciling accounts. You’ll be helping ensure that all financial records are up to date and accurate, allowing me to focus on driving.
Responsibilities:
Manage and update income and expense records on the Waves app
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Create and send invoices to clients
Track receipts and expenses (fuel, maintenance, tolls, etc.)
Generate financial reports for tax and business planning purposes
Assist with quarterly or annual tax preparation by providing organized financial records
Required Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in using the Waves app for bookkeeping and accounting
Previous experience working as a bookkeeper or with financial management for small businesses
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
Knowledge of basic tax requirements for self-employed individuals
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good communication skills for coordinating via email or messaging
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the transportation or trucking industry
Familiarity with tax regulations for truck drivers and independent contractors
Experience with additional accounting tools (if applicable)
Work Hours:
This is a flexible, part-time position. I estimate 5-10 hours per week depending on the workload and time of the year.
