ERPNext Ghana Payroll Customization
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m rolling out a standalone instance of ERPNext for our Ghana-based operation and I need the payroll module tailored to local rules and reports. The system has to serve both wage earners and salaried employees and, at minimum, automate the following:
• Monthly payroll processing with correct PAYE, SSNIT and Provident Fund calculations
• PDF or email payslips every month
• Bank transfer advice files ready for upload to local banks
• Payroll journals that can be imported into any accounting package later
• Statutory returns: PAYE, SSNIT and PF in the formats required by the authorities
• A searchable employee compensation database holding historic salary, allowance and deduction data
Key points
– This is a standalone deployment; no links to external HR or accounting systems are required.
– ERPNext/Frappe experience is a must; Python and Jinja templating skills will be handy.
– Accuracy is critical. I will validate with a sample set of 10 employees—results must match manual calculations before sign-off.
– Deliver code, doctypes, scripts and clear setup documentation so I can maintain the module internally after hand-over.
If you have already tackled Ghanaian payroll on ERPNext (or a similar framework), I’d love to see a demo or reference.
