Certified Accountant Certificate
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I require an updated Accountant's certificate to the effect that I have either A$2.5 million in assets or an annual gross income of over A$250,000.
An example of the required Accountant's certificate (with my details prefilled) is below. the certicate should be on letterhead of the certifier. The guidelines from ASIC concerning eligible foreign bodies are as follows:
ASIC requires it is certified by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (formerly The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia) - ie CA, ACA and FCA, or CPA Australia - ie CPA and FCPA or Institute of Public Accountants (IPA)- ie AIPA, MIPA and FIPA

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom)
Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants
Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
In practical terms, this means that foreign investors and some Australians working overseas may be able to more readily access Australian financial products without triggering significant additional disclosure obligations on the issuer.
Decisions about how the gross income and net assets are measured for the purposes of the calculations under the certificate are matters the Corporations Act has left to your professional judgement as an accountant. This explains why we have only declared specified classes of accountants who are members of professional accounting bodies.
I will be seeking the certificate under gross income over A$250,000 over the last two years. I will supply necessary online information to satisfy this requirement in the form of pay slips, pension and interest.
