Business Credit Card Statement Reconciliation
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need assistance reconciling my business credit card statement with expenses and receipts in Excel. The receipts are currently not very well organized, so a freelancer with strong organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential for this task. Please note that the receipts do not need to be categorized during the reconciliation process, they are already categorized.
Some receipt may be missing. Some receipt may be duplicates (not many) but all of them are registered in an excel file.
Ideal skills for this project include:
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with financial reconciliation
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
The source data I will provide :
1. Two credit card statement for a total of ~350 entries, with transaction date, merchant, local currency amount, foreign currency amount,.. (example attached : credit card.xls)
2. An excel file with a list of receipts with a date, merchant, category, description, amount, currency and the associated original receipt referenced in the excel..
What needs to be done :
Map lines of the credit card statement with lines of the receipt extract in an excel file (see attached Expense details.xls) and rename the receipt to be in line with the Excel's mapping file item number.
Things to consider :
1. Due to manual entries, some receipt are wrongly entered, for example wrong/incorrect merchant name, or date or amount or currency.
2. Amount between the transaction and the receipt may be slightly different due to : Rounding, different exchange rate, tips added and not indicated on the receipt, wrong entry on the receipt, etc.
3. Some transaction of the credit card statement have a missing receipt =>At the end of the first review, I expect to receive a list of transaction with missing receipt so I can find/collect them and provide them to you to finalize the job/mapping.
4. Some receipt are not part of the credit card statement =>I expect to have them in the excel mapping as well, without any credit card statement transaction associated to them.
