Accountant with Expertise in Dutch BV, Holding Structures & E-Commerce

We are an established e-commerce business operating under the Dutch "Besloten Vennootschap" (BV) framework, with multiple holding structures. As we enhance our global online presence, we're transitioning our bookkeeping system from Exact to Xero. We are in pursuit of a seasoned professional to manage this transition and handle our complex e-commerce accounting needs.
Position:
E-Commerce Bookkeeper/Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounting and financial administration tailored to e-commerce operations within the framework of a Dutch BV and associated holding entities.
Lead the migration process from Exact to Xero, ensuring an impeccable transition.
Accurately map and import data between systems, with an emphasis on e-commerce-specific transactions.
Execute account reconciliations in Xero, ensuring consistent data integrity.
Regularly produce financial analyses and reports, emphasizing e-commerce trends, sales, and inventory metrics.
Uphold stringent European and Dutch accounting standards and e-commerce regulations.
Collaborate proactively with e-commerce and management teams, offering valuable financial perspectives and insights.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in accounting and bookkeeping, specifically within the e-commerce sector and for Dutch BV and holding structures.
Deep knowledge of both Exact and Xero platforms.
Adeptness in handling e-commerce-specific financial tasks: inventory management, sales analysis, international transactions, and more.
Uncompromising attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with various teams.
Comprehensive understanding of European and Dutch bookkeeping standards, with a focus on e-commerce regulations.
Relevant accounting certifications, especially those related to e-commerce or Dutch regulations, are a plus.
Requirements for E-Commerce Specialization:
Previous experience managing finances for online sales platforms, possibly including major ones like Amazon, eBay, or bol.com.
Familiarity with online payment gateways and the associated transaction fees and processes.
Awareness of VAT, customs, and other tax implications for cross-border e-commerce sales.
Experience with inventory management tools and integration with accounting software.
Understanding of the return and refund processes typical to e-commerce.
