Accountant / E-commerce Finance Specialist
Budget: €6 – €12 EUR
We are looking for an experienced Accountant / E-commerce Finance Specialist to support our growing swimwear brand based in Portugal.
This is a long-term hourly freelance position. We are looking for someone who can become part of our team and provide ongoing financial and accounting support as our business grows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconcile and monitor all payment platforms, including PayPal, Shopify Payments, Stripe, and bank accounts.
Manage inventory records and monitor stock valuation.
Control inventory movements and stock-related invoicing.
Issue and review invoices for:
Intra-Community (EU) sales
Extra-Community (International) sales
Ensure compliance with Portuguese VAT and invoicing regulations.
Work with InvoiceXpress to create and manage invoices.
Reconcile Shopify orders with invoices and payment platforms.
Review and maintain accurate accounting records.
Provide advice on invoicing procedures and accounting best practices.
Perform financial and market analysis to support business decisions.
Prepare reports on sales, stock, and financial performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with Portuguese accounting and VAT legislation.
Strong understanding of intra-community and international invoicing.
Experience managing inventory and stock valuation.
Experience with Shopify.
Experience using InvoiceXpress.
Experience reconciling PayPal, Shopify Payments, Stripe, and bank transactions.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good written and spoken English.
