Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping Tasks:
Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card accounts.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Track expenses and ensure accurate categorization for reporting purposes.
Accounting Tasks:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights.
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct internal audits to identify and resolve discrepancies or inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Assist with payroll processing and reporting.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or in a similar financial role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
