WCAG AAA WordPress Accessibility Overhaul
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We are looking for an accessibility expert (preferably with experience in WordPress + Elementor) to help us fix accessibility issues on a website built under the Spanish Kit Digital programme – a European-funded initiative for digital transformation.

We have received an official accessibility remediation request (requerimiento de subsanación) from the Spanish authorities. The site has accessibility issues that need to be corrected in order to meet Level AA of WCAG 2.1.
Accessibility criteria to be addressed:
9.1.1.1 Non-text Content
Ensure all images have meaningful and appropriate alt text (or empty alt="" when decorative). Avoid redundant or suspicious alternative texts.
9.1.3.1 Info and Relationships
Fix the heading hierarchy so that it follows a logical and sequential structure (e.g., H1 > H2 > H3).
9.2.4.3 Focus Order
Ensure the keyboard tabbing order is logical. Resolve any improper use of tabindex and issues in skip links like “Skip to content” and “Skip to footer”.
9.2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)
Make sure all links have a clearly understandable purpose, even out of context. Also fix broken same-page links.
9.4.1.1 Parsing
Correct HTML structure and syntax to avoid any parsing errors that may affect accessibility.
9.4.1.2 Name, Role, Value
Ensure all UI components expose correct accessible names, roles, and values to assistive technologies. Address redundant links, duplicate title attributes, and unclear alternative texts.

You may use any accessibility diagnostic tool, such as WAVE, Axe, TAW, or others — as long as the tool helps validate that the six listed WCAG 2.1 AA criteria are fully met
Deliverables:
Fully accessible and WCAG-compliant website with the six listed criteria corrected
Screenshots showing each issue before and after being fixed
Brief explanation of the tools used and methods applied, as this will be part of a final report for government submission
Deadline:
The full task must be completed by Tuesday, September 16, 2025 (one week from today).
