Dual Format Book Formatting
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m preparing a new title for simultaneous digital release and paperback distribution, and I need a detail-oriented formatter to bring both editions to professional standard.
Digital edition
Only two files are required: a validated ePub and an accessible PDF. The ePub must clear epubcheck and display cleanly on Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play, etc.; the PDF should retain live links and proper tagging for accessibility. No Mobi file is needed.
Print edition
I already have margin specs, trim size, running-head rules, and front-matter order laid out in a style sheet that I’ll share on award. Your task is to apply those guidelines faithfully and deliver a press-ready PDF that uploads to KDP and IngramSpark without error (bleed, font embedding, and color profile all in place).
Deliverables
• Press-ready print PDF (KDP & IngramSpark compliant)
• Validated ePub (ePub 3 preferred)
• Accessible distribution-ready PDF
• Working source files for future tweaks
I’m comfortable whether you work in InDesign, Vellum, Affinity Publisher, or another professional tool—just let me know your preference and turnaround. Please include samples of previous dual-format projects so I can see your touch before we start.
