VB6 App UI Modernization

Job ID: 40257600

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m ready to breathe new life into an existing Visual Basic 6 application by adding brand-new features focused entirely on the user interface. The codebase is stable, but the front end feels dated, navigation is limited, and accessibility is minimal.

Here’s what I need delivered:
• A refreshed look and feel that still respects the original layout logic but adopts contemporary colours, fonts, and control styling.
• Additional navigation options such as a collapsible sidebar or ribbon-style toolbar so users can reach key forms in fewer clicks.
• Accessibility upgrades: keyboard-friendly controls, proper tab order, high-contrast themes, and screen-reader-ready labels.

All work must stay within VB6—no porting to .NET—so practical experience with intrinsic controls, common OCX libraries, and owner-drawn components is essential. I’ll provide the current source, form designs, and a short style guide; you return updated .vbp, .frm, and related resource files that compile cleanly in the native IDE.

Once the new interface compiles and runs without breaking existing functionality, we’ll wrap up with a quick hand-off session where you walk me through the changes.
