Accessibility Specialist for a Chemistry Course
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need an experienced Canvas LMS accessibility specialist to review and remediate one chemistry course for accessibility compliance. The goal is to bring the course accessibility score from its current level up to 100% using Canvas's built-in accessibility checker.
The course materials include:
Lecture slides (Google Slides/PowerPoint format)
Question banks (Google Docs/Word format)
Scientific images and chemistry diagrams
The work involves:
Adding accurate alt text to all images and diagrams
Fixing heading structures and formatting
Ensuring all content meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
Making everything fully compatible and ready for Canvas LMS upload
Running accessibility checks and resolving all flagged issues
Requirements:
Strong experience with Canvas LMS accessibility
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards
Ability to write accurate alt text for scientific/chemistry diagrams
Budget: Open to proposals
This is a trial project with potential for 3 more classes if quality is good.
