Brightspace Course Build & Layout

The goal is to set up a brand-new class inside Brightspace (D2L) from the ground up. All core learning materials—mainly text-based lessons, downloadable documents, and a selection of short videos—need to be uploaded, organised, and scheduled inside the LMS. Interactivity can stay minimal; simple discussion threads or basic quizzes are enough for now, so there is no need for complex branching scenarios or high-end gamification.

A fresh, intuitive course layout is still missing. I need help designing the overall structure: modules, sub-modules, navigation links, release conditions, and the look and feel of the landing page so that students can move through the content effortlessly on both desktop and mobile.

Deliverables
• Fully configured Brightspace course shell with modules, sub-modules, and dates in place
• All provided documents and videos uploaded, properly titled, and linked within the correct topics
• Clean, student-friendly homepage banner, widgets, and navigation bar
• Basic assessment items (if needed) and gradebook categories wired up and tested
• Quick walkthrough or short screencast showing how to make future edits on my own

Acceptance criteria
– Every file and video opens without error inside Brightspace
– Navigation works in two clicks or fewer from the homepage to any lesson
– Course passes Brightspace’s built-in link checker and accessibility checker
– Final screencast demonstrates the workflow for updating content and adjusting dates

Assets (text, docs, and videos) are ready to share as soon as the project starts, and I can grant immediate instructor-level access to the course shell.
