scientific proposal - toxicology - Exploring to Detect Illicit Drug Masking of Therapeutic Medications in Blood Using GC-MS / LC-MS/MS: Investigating the Influence of Cocaine on the Presence of Ibuprofen, Tramadol, and Melatonin.
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I am trying to see if cocaine can mask other medications like ibuprofen, tramadol and melatonin. so I would be required to consider the internal standards for these. I will be using GC-MS/ LC-MS/MS. will be using horse blood.
samples as follows:
blank blood sample
blood with internal standards
blood with cocaine
blood with ibuprofen
blood with tramadol
blood with melatonin
each blood sample will be made to 2ml.
the internal standards will be added
and then go through extraction stages to prepare the sample to be run on the GC-MS /LC-MS.
1. this is the plan that includes part of the methodology (above) - please change if information is wrong.
2. needs to include:
Introduction ( small para)
Literature review ( medium para good papers)
aims and objectives
research design and methodology (more importance) - mention concentrations and volumes.
ethical considerations and health and safety
3. please reference and use in-text citation - Numerical referencing ONLY
--- So I am trying to see if a person who is an addict to cocaine but accidentally overdosed on melatonin (found in sleeping pills) but when conducted a toxicological screening shows that the person overdosed on cocaine as is a regular user but assuming the melatonin was masked by the cocaine. - example.
no humans will be involved, only horse blood and performed in the laboratory
Unfortunately, I have no additional documents to attach but will put up a brief of information required for this proposal - 1500 words
I would be really thankful if you could help me because I know what I am doing, but I am currently super sick and unable to work on it. sorry in advance for any trouble, and thank you very much for sparing your precious time.
