A critical evaluation/review of an MSc Dissertation and the preparation of an outline
proposal for a dissertation. In this assignment you will review an MSc Dissertation attached to this.
The review should be a maximum of 1750 words and should use the 5 steps of critical
evaluation (Category: What type of paper is this?
Context: Which other papers is it related to? Which theoretical bases were used
to analyse the problem/research question?
Correctness: Do the assumptions appear to be valid
Contributions: What are the paper’s main contributions?
Clarity: Is the paper well written?) to answer the following questions:
What is the research question the dissertation seeks to answer?
What argument(s) does the author propose?
Is the methodology proposed appropriate?
Are valid/reasonable conclusions/recommendations are reached?
What are the impacts on the pharmaceutical industry (if any) of this research?
What (if anything) would you have done differently had you been the author of
this dissertation?
For the second part of the assignment you must review and update the literature review
carried out by the author of the dissertation you have reviewed. The outputs of this review
should be stored using a reference manager tool (for example Mendeley) in a dedicated
folder/section. Using
this updated literature review and based on any recommendations for future work proposed
in the dissertation (if appropriate), prepare a brief proposal outline for new MSc
dissertation that you could carry out. This proposal should be no more than 750 words and
should contain the following sections:
