Turkish-German Academic Book Translation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have an academic book written in Turkish that now needs to reach a German-speaking audience. The language is scholarly, with citations, footnotes, and discipline-specific terminology, so I’m after a precise, publication-ready German rendition that reads as though it were originally drafted in German.
You’ll receive the full Turkish manuscript in Word along with a simple style guide. In return I’d like:
• A clean German version that mirrors the original layout
• A copy with Track Changes enabled for my review
• (Nice-to-have) a short glossary of key terms you standardised
Strong command of both Turkish and German is crucial, and experience translating academic material—especially books, theses, or peer-reviewed articles—will set you apart. Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ for terminology consistency is welcome.
If possible, include a brief (≈300 words) sample translation from the opening chapter so I can gauge tone and accuracy. Let me know your proposed timeline and any milestones you’d like to set; quality is my top priority and I’m flexible on scheduling to achieve it.
I’m excited to collaborate and make this work accessible to German readers.
