Transcripts to Formal Q&A Conversion

I have eight education-focused oral-history transcripts, each about 30–40 double-spaced pages, that need to be reshaped into a clean, research-ready Question & Answer layout. Every spoken prompt must become a clearly labeled question, every response an answer, without dropping, re-ordering, or paraphrasing the original wording.
You are welcome to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Whisper, Word macros, etc.) to speed up the first pass, but the final copy must be manually quality-checked. Accuracy is critical because these documents will be consulted by researchers, so even minor omissions or unintended edits are unacceptable.
Workflow I have in mind
• Receive the raw text files from me (Word or plain text).
• Structure each file into a consistent Q&A format with speaker tags and page breaks preserved.
• Proof against the source line-by-line, confirming that no sentence is lost, added, or altered.
• Highlight any ambiguities or inaudible sections for my review rather than guessing.
Deliverables
1. Eight fully formatted Q&A transcripts returned in the same file type received.
2. A short change-log for each file noting corrections or flagged issues. (These can be foot notes or call-out's using the Microsoft editor tool)
I can share a sample style guide once we start, but consistency, fidelity to the original oral history, and researcher-friendly clarity are the guiding principles. If you have handled academic interview material before, especially in the education field, that experience will help you hit the ground running.
