Social Entrepreneurship Research Paper

I’m putting together a scholarly paper that distills the current thinking and real-world evidence on social entrepreneurship—how ventures balance social impact and financial viability, why some scale successfully while others stall, and what this means for future research and practice. I want the final manuscript to read like something that could be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal: clear research framing, rigorous use of sources, and insightful discussion that goes beyond summary.

Scope of work
• Conduct a critical literature review covering leadership, innovation, community engagement, policy environments and impact-measurement debates.
• Analyse at least two flagship cases—Grameen Bank and SEWA are essential—and draw parallels to one additional global initiative you consider relevant.
• Examine persistent barriers such as funding gaps, digital divides and regulatory hurdles, then evaluate how hybrid business models, technology integration and cross-sector partnerships help overcome them.
• Synthesize findings into a 5,000–6,000-word paper (excluding references), written in an academic tone and fully cited (APA or Harvard).
• Provide a concise executive summary that highlights actionable insights for scholars, practitioners and policy-makers.

Deliverables & milestones
1. Detailed outline with preliminary reference list.
2. Complete first draft for feedback.
3. Final polished paper, plagiarism-checked, with reference manager file (Zotero, Mendeley or EndNote) and executive summary.

Acceptance criteria
• Minimum 25 peer-reviewed sources from 2012 onward, retrieved via Google Scholar, Scopus or Web of Science.
• Evidence of critical analysis—not just description—when discussing challenges and strategies.
• Case study section integrates quantitative or qualitative data (cite original reports where possible).
• Writing flows logically, free of grammatical errors, and adheres to chosen citation style throughout.
