Reflective Learning and Teaching Practice Essay
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need an academic Level 7 Reflective account of Practice essay 2500 words of the topic 2 Teatching and Support of Learning. Matching these learning outcomes:
1. Demonstrate a comprehensive and critical understanding of learning theories, concepts and philosophies and synthesise their application in practice.
2. Apply inclusive communication strategies and values to guide diverse groups of learners by utilising advanced interpersonal, team and networking skills.
3. Widely reflect on and evaluate teaching practices and experiences to identify values, areas for professional growth, improvement and leadership within the health and social care education context.
Following this assesment brief:
The focus of assessment 2 is to provide a minimum of 2 examples of your supported learning and teaching practice evidencing the principles you apply to HE students learning within the healthcare setting, how you guide, support and teach them by individual engagement practices and how this impacts their development as well as your own teaching practice and leadership.
To evidence Dimension V1 “respect individual learners and diverse groups of learners”, you need to reflect on your role as an educator within your healthcare context and how you engaged with learners in a person-centred inclusive way, e.g. provision of feedback/feedforward in learning agreements. Consider what support and guidance you gave to learners in your practice (aligning to Dimension A4 “support and guide learners”). Helpful information and an example about this can be found in the Advance HE Applicant guidance – Associate Fellowship documentation (2024).
You then need to demonstrate how the evaluation of your practice was informed by evidence-informed approaches or theories of learning within your disciplinary area and substantiate these by relevant pedagogic literature. This will evidence Dimension K1 “how learners learn, generally and within specific subjects” and Dimension V3 “use scholarship, or research, or professional learning, or other evidence informed approaches as a basis for effective practice”. You are encouraged to refer to the broader context of the teaching and learning activities referred to in assessment 1 and supplement the discussion (e.g. statutory requirements by the NMC, HCPC), as well as the conventions and / or challenges of teaching by providing a “critical evaluation of as a basis for effective practice” aligning with Dimension K3.
