Refine and Improve DFG Applications' Scientific Language
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have two DFG funding proposals, each seven pages long, covering social-science research on e-learning and artificial intelligence. What I need most is a rigorous upgrade of the scientific language and terminology. Your task is to sharpen wording, tighten concepts, and ensure that every sentence reads at a technical, discipline-appropriate level while still sounding engaging.
The priority is clear: scientific language and terminology come first. I’m looking for technical feedback—think precise phrasing, field-standard jargon, and terminology that is consistent from start to finish. The Introduction, Methodology, and Conclusion all have to showcase that elevated register, so please give those sections extra attention.
Because these are DFG applications, proven experience with the DFG applications ist not negociable. I expect you to know how reviewers assess theoretical framing, methodological clarity, and impact statements, and to adjust tone and structure accordingly without compromising compliance.
Deliverables
• A fully revised version of each application in Word with Track Changes enabled
• A clean, submission-ready version of each application
• A brief editorial memo (one page max) summarising key terminology choices and any structural tweaks you recommend for added reader interest
Acceptance criteria
1. Terminology is advanced yet precise across all three critical sections.
2. Consistency checks confirm no conflicting definitions or abbreviations.
3. Language meets DFG standards for scientific rigor and clarity while maintaining an engaging narrative flow.
If you have successfully steered DFG proposals before, I’m eager to see how you can elevate these two documents.
