Qualitative Research Critique
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a completed qualitative study draft that now needs a careful, critical eye. I’m particularly interested in three areas: Methodology, Data analysis, and Literature review. Within the methodology section the spotlight is on Research design, so I want to know whether the stated paradigm, design choice, and rationale truly fit the study aims and whether the chain of logic is airtight.
For the data analysis, I need you to evaluate the transparency and rigour of the coding process, theme development, and any trust-worthiness strategies that have been claimed. In the literature review, I’m looking for feedback on relevance, recency, and synthesis—does it genuinely ground the work in the broader conversation or does it read like a catalogue?
What I expect from you:
• An annotated version of the manuscript (Track Changes or margin comments are fine) highlighting issues and suggesting concrete fixes.
• A concise review memo summarising strengths, weaknesses, and recommended revisions for each of the three focal areas.
If you regularly work with NVivo, ATLAS.ti or similar tools, mention it—though the main deliverable is the critique itself, familiarity with qualitative analysis software can make your comments sharper and more actionable.
I value clear, constructive feedback that not only spots problems but also points me toward practical solutions.
