A personal account (e.g., personal encounter from someone you know who experienced pregnancy, birth, or the postpartum period), or,
Draw on the demographic and/or cultural requirements for the gravida within your local area, or,
A refugee gravida who has migrated to Australia, or,
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women/ Gravida, or,
Same gender partners, or,
Displaced gravida/ FDV.
3. Critically analyse your chosen scenario, incorporating two of the four COAG values, discussing the following:
Whether or not/ and how woman-centred care was applied/ could be achieved.
What could have been done differently/ if anything, to better align with the two strategies’ principles you have chosen.
How have your two chosen COAG Core values been applied/ will be applied to your chosen case study?
Link your chosen scenario to a current contemporary issue in Australian maternity care (e.g., access for rural women, First Nations birthing on country, perinatal mental health, continuity of care shortages, etc).
Provide recommendations/ desired outcomes, on how maternity services and health professionals could strengthen woman-centred care in similar situations in the future/ or now, that you have discovered/ identified by your research. 1300 words apa 7th referencing peer reviewed literature
