Policy Insight Articles on US–SEA Relations
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a series of policy-focused articles that draw on first-hand experience from large think tanks or research institutes. Your background working in such organizations should give you the depth and access needed to unpack United States–Southeast Asia relations for a policymaking audience.
Scope
Each piece must weave together political analysis, economic development trends, and relevant cultural context. The goal is to inform real-world policy decisions, so every argument should be evidence-driven, practical, and forward-looking rather than purely academic.
Tone & Perspective
Write as a seasoned policy strategist: concise, authoritative, free of jargon the general reader would stumble over yet detailed enough for staffers and decision-makers. Wherever possible, bring in data, recent legislation, bilateral or regional agreements, and on-the-ground insights you have gathered through prior research roles.
Deliverables
• 3 stand-alone articles (2,000–2,500 words each)
• Proper citations and links to primary sources
• A one-paragraph executive takeaway at the top of every article
Acceptance Criteria
An article is considered complete when it:
1. Integrates all three focus areas—political, economic, cultural—in a cohesive argument.
2. Provides at least two actionable policy recommendations.
3. Includes up-to-date statistics from reputable sources (IMF, World Bank, ASEAN Secretariat, etc.).
If your portfolio shows prior think-tank publications or equivalent research output, I’d love to see it.
