I have a completed philosophy manuscript and now need a fresh, expert eye. Your background in philosophy—or philosophy of law—and solid editorial experience will help me take it to the next level.
Scope of the review
• Read the full draft (around 150,000 words) on your own schedule.
• Focus on three priorities while you read: logical consistency across arguments, the strength and clarity of each argument, and overall grammar & style.
• Prepare a concise set of talking points rather than detailed line-by-line notes; I’m after a high-level, general overview.
How we’ll work
Once you’ve finished reading, we’ll meet for a video call (Zoom, Meet, or your preferred platform). During the session—ideally 60-90 minutes—you’ll walk me through your observations, pose questions, and flag any major weaknesses or missed opportunities. I’ll probe for clarifications in real time, so I can leave the call with a clear plan for revision.
Deliverables
1. Confirmation that you have read the entire manuscript.
2. A live video consultation summarising your findings and answering my questions.
3. (Optional but appreciated) a brief written outline of the key points discussed, no more than one page.
If your expertise spans analytic philosophy, ethics, jurisprudence, or rhetoric, that’s a plus, but solid critical-thinking skills and sharp editorial judgment are what matter most. Looking forward to your insights and a productive discussion.
