PhD Thesis Writing Coach

Job ID: 39823678

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I have six months to hand in my engineering PhD thesis and the manuscript is still a blank page. I need a seasoned mentor who can steer me from first outline to final submission while also helping turn my research into publishable journal papers.

My priorities
• Clear structure and argumentation for each chapter
• A realistic, week-by-week writing plan that keeps me accountable
• Expert, detailed written comments on every draft I share
• Guidance on selecting journals and polishing two papers for submission

The way I work
I learn best through focused one-on-one sessions backed by annotated documents (Word, LaTeX, or Overleaf with tracked changes). After each round of written feedback we’ll meet briefly online to troubleshoot and set the next milestone.

Who you are
You hold a PhD—ideally in engineering or a closely related technical field—have already supervised doctoral candidates through to completion, and are comfortable weaving modern tools such as Overleaf, Zotero, Grammarly, or other AI-assisted editors into the workflow.

Key deliverables
• A month-by-month thesis roadmap with checkpoints
• Marked-up feedback on every chapter within agreed turnaround times
• Two journal-ready manuscripts polished to publication standards

If this sounds like the mentoring partnership you enjoy, please send over a short note on your supervisory experience and a sample of feedback you’ve provided to past students. I’m ready to get started right away.
