PRISMA Rapid Review: Teacher PD

Job ID: 40258819

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a concise, 2 000-word rapid review that maps the characteristics and core ingredients of professional development programmes designed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to foster students’ self-regulated learning. The review must strictly follow PRISMA 2020 guidance and be completed using four databases: PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science.

Scope of work
• Design and document a reproducible search strategy for each database, capturing all synonyms and Boolean logic.
• Apply clear inclusion / exclusion criteria (e.g., teacher-focused PD, measurable SRL outcomes, peer-reviewed studies, English).
• Screen titles, abstracts and full texts with transparent reasons for exclusion.
• Extract key study characteristics (setting, participants, PD format, duration, pedagogical strategies, SRL outcomes, effect sizes when reported).
• Synthesise the recurring design features, delivery modes and contextual factors that make these programmes effective, highlighting gaps in the literature.

Required deliverables
1. 2 000-word narrative report with in-text citations.
2. Completed PRISMA flow diagram (PDF or high-res image).
3. Search strings for each database.
4. Data-extraction table (spreadsheet).
5. Reference list in APA 7.

Acceptance criteria
• Report logically structured (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Limitations, Implications).
• All numbers in the flow diagram match the screening narrative.
• No critical PRISMA item missing; tables and figures labelled clearly.
• Language fluent, proof-read and ready for submission/publication.

If you have recent experience conducting systematic or rapid reviews in education and can turn this around efficiently, I’m ready to award quickly.
