MLA Essay Formatting Help
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’ve written an essay that now needs to look and read like it came straight out of an MLA handbook. I’m looking for someone who can:
• Tidy up the overall layout — standard 1-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pt, double-spacing, running header, title block, and page numbering exactly as MLA 9th edition requires.
• Convert every reference already in the draft into correct MLA in-text citations.
• Build a complete Works Cited page, alphabetized and hanging-indented.
• Identify a handful of extra peer-reviewed or otherwise credible sources that fit the topic, weave them into the text if needed, and cite them properly.
You’ll receive the essay in Word (can switch to Google Docs if that’s easier). When you return it, I expect:
1. A clean, fully formatted document with tracked changes off.
2. A separate note listing each new source you added.
3. No lingering style or spacing issues flagged by Word’s MLA template checker or equivalent.
If you’re comfortable working quickly inside Word or Docs and know the nuances of MLA 9, this should be straightforward. I welcome newer freelancers who want to prove their formatting skills—clarity and accuracy matter more to me than years of experience.
