Journal Business Article Proofreading
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for a native English speaker (UK or US) with experience in academic proofreading—preferably in economics, finance, or social sciences—to assist with the following:
Scope of Work:
Proofreading of a full academic article (~10,000 words):
Grammar, clarity, academic tone, and fluency
No AI-based tools (e.g., ChatGPT) allowed—only human proofreading
Minor stylistic rephrasing where needed
Review and editing of responses to reviewers (approx. 1,500–5,000 words)
Proofreading and polishing of the cover letter to the journal editor
Support across up to 3 review rounds (each with smaller edits to the manuscript and responses)
Format check and compliance with journal guidelines:
Reference style
Citation formatting
Word count reduction (downsizing text if needed to meet journal limits)
Requirements:
Native English speaker (mandatory)
Proven experience editing academic manuscripts (please include examples or links to published papers you’ve edited)
Familiarity with journal submission and peer-review processes
Detail-oriented with strong sense of academic style and formatting standards
Availability over the next 2–3 months for revisions and rounds of review
Deliverables:
