Islamic Ethics Critical Book Report
Budget: $11 – $50 CAD
I need a well-argued, 1 500–1 800-word critical book report that can stand in for an exam grade. The essay must go well beyond summary; I want a balanced evaluation of the author’s methodology, evidence, and overall contribution to the field of Islamic ethics, highlighting both strengths and shortcomings and situating the work within current scholarly debates.
You may select any ONE of the following texts:

• Ray Jureidini & Said Fares Hassan (eds.), Migration and Islamic Ethics (Brill, 2020)
• Ayang Utriza Yakin & Louis-Léon Christians (eds.), Rethinking Halal: Genealogy, Current Trends, and New Interpretations (Brill, 2021)
• Farhat Moazam, Bioethics and Organ Transplantation in a Muslim Society (Indiana University Press, 2006)
Please approach the assignment as a critical evaluation—compare the author’s arguments with current literature, assess the consistency of their ethical framework, and comment on the relevance of their findings to contemporary Muslim societies.
Deliverables
– One polished essay (1 500–1 800 words) in Word or Google Docs, complete with in-text citations and a reference list
– A short abstract (100–150 words) summarising your main assessment
– Final submission no March1st

A presentation of the contents of the book; include illustrative excerpts of the book as appropriate - this means citing the author's own words.
A short critical analysis of the book
How this book relates to topics or themes discussed in our class
The impact of the book and its reception among readers, if you are able to find that information
• Whether you would recommend this book to others and why or why not
