Human-Based Academic Paraphrasing and Language Refinement of Research Manuscript
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced academic editor/paraphraser to revise a research manuscript titled “Addressing Class Imbalance in Logistics Risk Prediction: A Machine Learning Approach to Shipment-Level Delivery Performance.” The manuscript is related to logistics, supply chain risk prediction, machine learning, class imbalance, SMOTE, Random Forest, Weighted XGBoost, ROC-AUC, PR-AUC, and delivery-risk modelling.
The purpose of this project is to make the manuscript read more naturally, academically, and humanly while preserving the original meaning, methodology, results, tables, citations, and technical accuracy. The manuscript should not sound robotic, repetitive, or overly AI-generated. The work must be done through careful human academic rewriting, not by using automated paraphrasing tools.
Scope of Work
The freelancer will be required to:
Paraphrase the full manuscript in a natural academic style.
Improve sentence flow, clarity, and readability.
Reduce repetitive phrasing and mechanical writing patterns.
Maintain the original technical meaning, research findings, methodology, and numerical results.
Preserve all citations, tables, figures, headings, and academic structure.
Ensure the manuscript remains suitable for journal submission.
Improve transitions between sections, especially Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
Check grammar, punctuation, and academic tone.
Avoid changing the research contribution, statistical values, model results, or interpretation.
Provide a polished final version in Microsoft Word format.
Important Instructions
Please do not rewrite the manuscript in a generic way. The paper contains specific technical details, including dataset preparation, exclusion of In Transit shipments, class imbalance treatment, SMOTE, Weighted XGBoost, PR-AUC, threshold tuning, and feature importance. These details must remain accurate.
The manuscript currently has a high AI-writing similarity indication, so the writing needs to be made more natural, varied, and human-like through genuine editorial rewriting. However, the final version must still remain professional, academic, ethical, and publication-ready.
Expected Deliverables
The freelancer should submit:
A fully paraphrased and polished manuscript in Word format.
Track-changes version showing the edits.
Clean final version without markup.
A short note summarizing the major improvements made.
Required Skills
The ideal freelancer should have:
Strong experience in academic editing and paraphrasing.
Background in business, logistics, supply chain, data analytics, or machine learning papers.
Ability to preserve technical and numerical accuracy.
Excellent command of academic English.
Experience with journal manuscript preparation.
Ability to rewrite manually without using automated paraphrasing tools.
Estimated Manuscript Length
Approximately 7,000 words.
Selection Criteria
I will give preference to freelancers who can:
Share examples of academic paraphrasing/editing work.
Demonstrate experience with research manuscripts.
Confirm that the work will be done manually.
Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript.
Deliver a clean, polished, publication-ready version.
