I need help correcting, verifying, and improving the references in my dissertation based on university feedback regarding academic integrity.
I have already reviewed and categorized all references using a colour-coded system in the document:
Green: Correct references (keep as is)
Blue: Unused references (in reference list but NOT used in the main text)
Yellow: Incorrect references (replacement citations are provided below each one)
Purple: Non-research sources (websites, books, reports, etc.)
Scope of Work:
Green References
Keep all green references unchanged
Ensure formatting is consistent (APA style)
Blue References
Double-check that these are NOT cited anywhere in the main document
Remove them completely from the reference list
Yellow References
Replace incorrect references using the replacement citations already provided
Update all corresponding in-text citations
Ensure consistency between in-text citations and reference list
Purple References (Important)
These include websites, books, reports, etc.
Check and correct or create proper APA citations for all of them
Ensure they are correctly cited in-text where used
Add New References
Add 10–15 new, relevant academic references related to the dissertation topic
Ensure they are real and verifiable (Google Scholar, journals, etc.)
Properly include them in the text
Ensure total references exceed 60
Final Reference Check
Ensure all references are real and credible (no fabricated sources)
Ensure in-text citations match the reference list
Ensure proper APA formatting throughout
Additional Requirement (Important):
Create a Reference Justification Table as required by my university
Each reference must include:
Full reference
Where it is used in the dissertation (section/page)
Why it is included
How it is relevant to the research
Deliverables:
Updated dissertation with corrected and added references
Clean APA-formatted reference list (60+ references)
Reference justification table (Word or Excel)
Requirements:
Strong experience in academic writing and APA referencing
Ability to verify sources from Google Scholar/journals
High attention to detail
Notes:
No use of AI for any of the tasks
Focus is on correction, validation, and proper citation
Do not fabricate or guess references
Minimal content rewriting, only where needed to correctly insert citations
