Academic Scientific Editor & Translator (Spanish–English) – Long-Term Collaboration in Rural Development & Food security

About me
I am a senior academic researcher and Full Professor candidate at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). My research focuses on rural development, food security, ethnobiology, sustainability science, and evaluation of public policies.
I publish regularly in peer-reviewed international journals (Q1–Q2 indexed in Scopus and Web of Science) and I am currently looking for a long-term professional collaboration with a highly qualified academic editor.
This is not a one-time translation task — I am seeking a reliable publishing partner to support my international scientific production.

What I am looking for
I am seeking a freelancer with demonstrated experience in:
Translation from Spanish to high-level academic English
Advanced academic editing and stylistic polishing (native or near-native English)
Structural refinement of scientific manuscripts
Adapting manuscripts to specific journal guidelines
Preparing submission materials: Cover letter, Highlights (if required)
Abstract refinement,
Formatting according to journal standards,
Supporting journal selection (Scopus / WoS indexed journals)
Assisting with responses to reviewers (when necessary)

Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
Rural development
Food security
Sustainability science
Public policy evaluation
Applicants with a PhD in social sciences, environmental sciences, sustainability, or related fields will be prioritized.

First Assignment
The first task consists of:
Translating and academically polishing a full manuscript (approx. 9,000–11,000 words)
Preparing it for submission to: Journal of Ethnobiology and Ethnomedicine
The manuscript is already complete in Spanish and primarily requires:

Accurate translation into professional academic English
Stylistic and structural refinement
Adjustment to journal format and guidelines
Preparation of a professional cover letter

Long-Term Collaboration
If the collaboration works well, I expect:
3–6 articles per year
Occasional book chapters and research proposals

Ongoing editorial collaboration
I am looking for someone reliable, rigorous, detail-oriented, and familiar with the standards of high-quality international academic publishing.
