Childhood Personality Influences Presentation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Create a slide presentation that assesses the influences that shape personality development during one of the periods of the life span. These are:
Personal development during the preschool years
Personal development during the middle childhood
Personal development during adolescence
Personal development during early adulthood
Personal development during middle adulthood
Personal development during late adulthood
Your must include all of the following in your presentation:
Provide a title for your digital poster
Identify and assess theories and/or stages in personal development
Identify and assess causes or reasons for disturbances in personal development
Identify and assess biosocial influences that affect continuity and change in personal development
Identify and assess personality factors of responsible personal behavior
Identify and assess examples of socio-cultural, ethnic, political, and/or economic forces that influence difference in personal development

For this part, include the following criteria:
Create 1 slide with 3 columns. Label the columns: Define, Discuss, Solution.
Identify at least one cause or reason that shows a disturbance, challenge, or problematic consequences in the period of personal development you chose. This may include biological, cognitive, behavioral, or environmental influences on personal development.
In column 1, Define, use a minimum of 50 words to define the cause or reason and explain how the disturbance, challenge, or problematic consequences impact personal development. Include at least 1 in-text citation in your text. Use this format: (Author and page number); example: (Feldman 199).
In column 2, Discuss, provide a specific, concrete example that relates to a real-world experience. You may use an image, link to a video, or type your response as your example. Use a minimum of 50 words to explain your example that relates to a real world experience demonstrating the disturbance, challenge, or problematic consequences on personal development. Include at least 1 in-text citation in your text. Use this format: (Author and page number); example: (Feldman 199).
In column 3, Solution, use a minimum of 50 words to discuss a practical response that seeks to alleviate and/or address the disturbance, challenge, or problematic consequences in the period of personal development you chose.
Include a graphic, picture, or media visual to depict the disturbance, challenge, or problematic consequences in the period of personal development you chose.
PART 4 -- Identify and assess biosocial influences that affect continuity and change in personal development.
Create one (1) power point slide that shows quantitative and/or qualitative data points on the influence that biology and environment have on continuity and change in the period of personal development you chose. Examples may include: bio-genetic (aging, physical changes, nutrition, etc.), cognitive (memory, decision-making, etc.), emotional (feelings, emotions, etc.) social (family, school, work, peers, etc.) and a relationship to the continuity and/or change in self-concept, self-esteem, confidence, personality traits, interpersonal relationships, etc. NOTE: This slide needs to show either percent and/or numbers that demonstrate quantitative data from research studies/findings on the biological and environmental (biosocial) influences that affect continuity and change in personal development. You may also refer to specific studies that demonstrate the influence of biosocial influences on continuity and change in personal development.

Find a virtual (video or podcast) example from TED Talks, YouTube, NPR Story Corps, or another social media platform that demonstrates personal behavior from at least one of the sections of content from the assigned readings. (Sections of content refers to the content under one or more of the headings in the readings.)
Link the virtual example to the power point.
In a minimum 50 words, using Erickson theory, or another theory discussed in your readings (identify the theory), assess the personality factors that influenced the personal behavior associated with the virtual example. Include one in-text citations from the readings. Format for citations: (Author page number) – Example: (Feldman 582). In the citation, only use the author of the e-book, Feldman.
