Advanced Kiswahili Tutor: Reading & Writing

Job ID: 40441323

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m looking for an experienced Kiswahili educator who can guide advanced-level learners through a self-paced program that sharpens reading and writing. The students already handle everyday conversation with ease; now they need finely structured materials that push them toward academic-grade grammar, nuanced vocabulary and polished composition.

Here’s what I need from you:
• A modular syllabus that learners can move through independently, with clear progression notes and estimated study times.
• Engaging reading passages—literary excerpts, news articles, and opinion pieces—paired with comprehension questions and vocabulary drills.
• Writing assignments ranging from short reflections to longer analytical essays, each with model answers and marking rubrics so students can self-evaluate before submitting for feedback.
• Brief video or audio explainers (screen-recorded is fine) that unpack complex grammar points or stylistic nuances.
• A feedback template I can use when reviewing their submitted work.

Everything should be delivered in shareable formats (Google Docs, PDF, or similar), ready for upload to our LMS. If you have experience integrating content into Moodle or Canvas, mention it—it’s a plus, though not mandatory.

Quality is paramount: lessons must be accurate, culturally sensitive, and written in clear, authentic Kiswahili. Please include a short sample passage with questions in your proposal so I can gauge your style. I’m eager to collaborate and iterate quickly, so let’s get started.
