Project Description:
I am seeking an experienced academic editor to thoroughly review and refine the references and in-text citations in my PhD thesis. The thesis is written in English and follows APA 7th edition guidelines.
Scope of Work:
The editor is expected to:
Review all in-text citations and ensure full consistency with the reference list.
Edit and format all references according to APA 7th edition standards.
Identify and correct:
Incorrect or incomplete references
Missing DOIs (add where applicable)
Inconsistent formatting (capitalisation, italics, punctuation)
Detect and remove duplicate references.
Flag any weak, non-academic, or unreliable sources (e.g., non-peer-reviewed or unclear publishers).
Ensure all references are relevant to the study topic (child protection, social work, policy).
Improve overall academic quality and coherence of the reference list.
Additional Requirements:
Experience with academic editing at PhD level is essential.
Familiarity with social sciences / social work / policy research is preferred.
High attention to detail is critical.
