Academic Book Proposal & Conclusion Writing

Job ID: 39936551

Budget: $250 – $750 NZD

I have a completed first draft—five chapters of roughly 4,000 words each plus an appendix—for a technical/academic manuscript aimed squarely at researchers and academics. I now need a polished, publisher-ready package that will open doors with acquisitions editors.

Your brief breaks down into three clear deliverables:

1. A full book proposal. Using the reference materials I supply, you will distill the project into a persuasive document that includes: statement of aims, chapter-by-chapter headings and summaries, definition of the market, analysis of main competing titles, and the appropriate product category. Clarity, logical flow, and a tone that speaks to a scholarly readership are essential.

2. A 1,000-word conclusion. After reviewing the manuscript in detail, craft a concluding chapter that highlights the key findings and implications of the work. This section must integrate smoothly with the existing chapters and bring the argument to a satisfying close without simply repeating earlier content.

3. A brief editorial assessment. Offer constructive observations on the book as a whole—strengths, gaps, and any recommendations that could sharpen its impact before submission.

I will provide the draft manuscript and supporting documents immediately upon project start. The finished files should be submitted in Word, laid out cleanly and ready for direct inclusion in a publishing proposal.

If you have a track record preparing technical or academic proposals and can write crisply for a professional audience, I’d love to see samples that show your attention to structure, market positioning, and scholarly tone.
