Academic Assistant/Practice Problem Editor & Creator for Biology, Organic Chemistry, Physics, & Math

The Academic Team is looking for assistants that can help us create high-quality and unique academic content. As a problem writer, you will create practice problems for our content team to record for our video lessons. We are currently looking for problem writers for various subjects.

We have an open position for these subjects:
- General Biology
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Organic Chemistry

Who are you?
- Have prior experience with online tutoring (Chegg, TutorUniverse, Tutor.com, Got It, etc.)
- Academically minded and familiar with the undergraduate Subject you are applying for
- Detail-oriented person who can work well with minor supervision

Primary Responsibilities:
- Group a collection of practice problems by overlapping learning objectives covered.
- Select a representative problem from a group of problems to create a unique problem that is similar to (but not the same as) the representative problem.
- You will also be solving the problem you write and coming up with incorrect “trick” answers in multiple choice format
- Review problems and solutions created by others for similarity to the representative problem and for correctness (is the answer correct)

Compensation and Schedule:
- $7-$10 per hour depending on experience
- Be available for 32-40 hours per week
- Work Monday through Friday
- Work between the hours of 8am-8pm Eastern Standard Time (-5, UTD)
Tools used:

Microsoft Office Suite & Teams
- Google Chrome
- Slack

Must-Have Qualifications:
- Fluent in English with excellent grammar
- Have a good internet connection
- Have a working webcam and microphone
- Have two monitors for efficiency

Bonus Qualifications:
- Degree in Subject you are applying for or an equivalent subject
- Customer service experience
- Experience writing problems for other academic sites (Chegg, Coursera, Khan Academy, etc.)
