APA Style Capstone Proposal

TOPIC/Research question: To what extent does the NJCAA Academic Eligibility & Support Policy improve semester-to-semester academic performance (GPA, credit completion) among student-athletes at Eastern Florida State College?
Capstone Proposal - Written
This capstone proposal is to be written using APA style and should be approximately 10 pages in length. Double-spacing and either 12-point New Times Roman font or 11-point Arial font should be used. Please use the following outline in writing the capstone proposal.

Introduction to the public administration or public policy situation 1 page

Purpose of the study, including goals and objectives, 1 page
Research questions 1/2 page
Proposed methodology, including data collection procedure (a survey, 1 page or questionnaire, focus group, interviews, observations, use of existing data, etc.)
Brief review of the relevant literature, 2 pages
You need to cite at least 6 references within the literature review. The majority of the references should consist of journal articles and government documents. Please note that all work for this course, including the capstone proposal, must be written neatly and concisely. APA style is to be used for all papers, and they should be carefully proofed for grammatical and spelling errors.

Presentation Format: The presentation is to contain at a minimum: 1) a cover slide, 2) a table of contents/outline slide, 3) introduction & conclusion slides, and 4) a minimum of six references on the reference slide. The length of the presentation is 8-10 slides, excluding the cover slide, table of contents, and reference slide(s).
The presentation is to be legible and aesthetically pleasing, with main points on the slides and the bulk of your presentation material in the speaker notes (speaker notes are required only on the informational slides, not on the cover, table of contents, reference, introduction, and conclusion slides).
APA format should be applied to all assignments in this course. APA format need only be applied to the references and speaker notes of the presentation. I strongly encourage creativity on your presentation slides.
