UCLA Archives Scanning

I need a freelancer who can provide scanning services at the University of California, Los Angles (UCLA) archives. Here are the key requirements for this project:

- The candidate should be located in the Los Angeles area and have access to the UCLA archives;
- The scanning can be done at low to medium resolution; however, all documents must be clear and legible;
- After the scanning process, all the files should be saved in PDF format. This means that you should have the capability and software to convert the scanned files into this type of format;
- If you do not have access to a scanner and PDF conversion software, a smartphone with a scanning app is acceptable so long as it is capable of handling batch scanning, documents are grouped as specified, and documents are clear and legible;
- Attention must be paid to grouping all documents as specified. Information about groupings of documents will be provided upon mutual agreement of terms of the arrangement.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

- Prior experience in scanning documents;
- Knowledge on setting scanner software for the correct resolution and format;
- Knowledge and familiarity with document management in PDF formats;
- Must be able to physically get to the UCLA Archives.

Additional details, including the collection number and list of documents, will be provided upon mutual agreement of terms of the arrangement.

Satisfactory completion of this project may lead to additional work at a future date.
