Subject/Topic: Research Methods — critically analysing three preselected research articles across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods paradigms.
What needs to be done: Analyse three academic research articles by breaking each down into their key research components. Answer two overarching questions with sub-questions, comparing the similarities and differences in the researchers’ approaches, evaluating their methodological decisions, and addressing ethical issues in each study.
Important Instructions:
• This assignment is based in South Africa — all examples, context, and framing must be relevant to the South African demographic and academic context
• Use UK English spelling and grammar throughout (e.g. “analyse” not “analyze”)
• In-text references must be used frequently — every argument and claim must be cited
• All sources must be recent (preferably 2018 to present)
• If AI tools are used at any point in the writing process, this must be declared explicitly
• A referencing guide has been attached — all referencing must strictly adhere to the format and rules outlined in that guide without exception
