Q1 EFL Research & Publication Support

Job ID: 39899836

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a partner who can take a mixed-methods study from concept to publication in a Web of Science Q1 (minimum Q2) journal within Applied Linguistics—specifically in the area of Technology in EFL (CALL). The core milestones are:

• Journal Scouting: Compile a short list of current Q1–Q2 journals that publish work on applied linguistics, EFL, and CALL. Note each journal’s scope, article length, review cycle, and special issue themes.
• Topic Development: After reviewing the scopes, propose several researchable topics that fit technology in EFL—mobile apps, online learning platforms, interactive software tools, or a combination. I will choose the final focus.
• Research Design & Ethics: Draft a mixed-methods plan (participants, instruments, data-collection timeline, analysis approach) and any required consent forms so data gathering can begin smoothly.
• Data Collection & Analysis: Carry out the study, triangulating quantitative and qualitative findings, and present clear tables, figures, and thematic discussions.
• Manuscript Preparation: Write an original, publication-ready paper formatted to the target journal’s style guide (references, abstract, keywords, highlights, tables, figures). Expected length: standard empirical article.
• Submission & Revision Support: Handle the online submission process, craft the cover letter, and stand by through at least one revision round, addressing reviewer comments and resubmitting until the paper is accepted or reaches the decision stage.

Timeline: journal shortlist and topic proposals delivered within four weeks of project start; data collection complete by mid-2025; full manuscript ready for submission no later than December 2025 to aim for publication in early 2026.

Familiarity with SPSS/R (or equivalent) for stats, NVivo/ATLAS.ti for qualitative coding, and APA/Harvard referencing is expected. Clear communication, adherence to ethical standards, and confidentiality of data are essential.
