OJS Journal Setup Specialist Needed for the Journal of Health, Nutrition, and Knowledge (DOI & Crossref Ready)

Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Open Journal Systems (OJS) specialist to install, configure, and launch a professional academic journal publishing platform.

The journal will publish high-quality scholarly research in the fields of health sciences, nutrition, public health, wellness, education, and interdisciplinary knowledge studies.
The platform must be professionally designed, fully functional, and configured for academic publishing with DOI assignment, Crossref integration, and indexing readiness.

Scope of Work
OJS Installation & Configuration
• Install and configure the latest stable version of OJS.
• Configure journal settings, workflows, and permissions.
• Set up roles for:
o Journal Manager
o Editors
o Section Editors
o Reviewers
o Authors
o Readers
• Configure email notifications and workflow automation.

Journal Website Setup
• Create a professional academic journal website.
• Configure journal branding for the Journal of Health, Nutrition, and Knowledge.
• Implement a mobile-responsive theme.
• Configure and design the following pages:
o Home
o About the Journal
o Editorial Board
o Aims & Scope
o Author Guidelines
o Publication Ethics
o Peer Review Policy
o Contact

Editorial & Publishing Workflow
• Configure complete manuscript workflow:
o Submission
o Editorial Screening
o Double-Blind Peer Review
o Copyediting
o Production
o Publication
• Test workflow using sample submissions.
• Verify all roles and permissions function correctly.

DOI & Crossref Integration
• Configure DOI assignment within OJS.
• Integrate with our Crossref account.
• Configure metadata export and DOI registration.
• Ensure articles are fully Crossref-ready.
• Test DOI generation and metadata submission.

Metadata, Indexing & Discoverability
• Configure article metadata standards.
• Enable XML export tools.
• Configure OAI-PMH.
• Implement SEO best practices.
• Prepare the journal for future indexing applications, including:
o DOAJ
o Google Scholar
o Scopus
o Web of Science
o PubMed (where applicable)

Security & Technical Setup
• SSL configuration.
• Backup and recovery procedures.
• Security hardening and spam protection.
• Performance optimization.

Documentation & Training
• Provide administrator documentation.
• Conduct a live training session or provide a recorded walkthrough.
• Explain:
o Journal management
o Editorial workflow
o DOI registration process
o Metadata management
