I need help backing up my macbook

Hi! I need help backing up the contents of my macbook pro onto a WD hard drive, and an online platform if possible. I'm not sure if stuff is backed up on my hard drive correctly already or not, and I don't know if I have the driver that I'm supposed to have in order to make it work with a mac (as opposed to a pc). Different online tutorials I've watched have said that I should do different things to make it work best with a mac, and at this point I'm a little lost. Also, I have a ton of stuff on icloud, so I'm not sure if those things are actually on the drive or not, or if they just stay on icloud whenever I try to connect the hard drive for backup. I also have a lot of Ableton sets, which are the most important files on my laptop, and these files have been notoriously difficult to upload almost anywhere sofar and I'm not sure how to check if the complete ableton sets have been loading onto the hard drive correctly.

Ideally, we could also backup my laptop to somewhere online too - I'm notoriously bad with losing things so incase I lose the harddrive someday I would love to have additional backup online too (on a site where full ableton sets can actually be uploaded, which evidently is difficult to achieve due to some file types not uploading properly, in my experience).

Basically I have no idea what I'm doing, and don't have enough time/energy to figure it out anymore, so I'm willing to pay someone to do this for me. Thank you so much!
